About Emily

has been dedicated to women’s healthcare for more than a decade. She began her career as a labor and delivery nurse at a large inner-city hospital which fueled her desire to serve the underserved. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, she continued her postgraduate education at Frontier Nursing University where she received her Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in nurse midwifery. She is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and began assisting life into this world in 2013.

Emily is passionate about providing individualized, holistic care and fostering positive relationships with clients while empowering them to become experts in their health. Areas of particular professional interest include perinatal mood disorders, the neurobiology of trauma, health disparities of vulnerable families, and gender affirmation. She wholeheartedly believes the importance of enthusiastic consent extends to the exam room and birthing space. With a focus on comprehensive perinatal education and interdisciplinary collaboration, she looks forward to providing birthing families a supported transition to parenthood.
